When it comes to beating Lynels in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there are several strategies that work well. For example, using ancient arrows can knock out Lynels instantly. Another option is to use a paraglider. This is a great way to take advantage of the fire updraft, as a paraglider can attack from above.
Lynels also have the ability to shoot Shock Arrows, which can afflict critical damage. They have a variety of other attacks, including a heavy swing.
Using a Stasis rune can freeze the lynel in place for a brief time. This makes it easier to land quick blows. While a Stasis rune is a good weapon to have, it is not as helpful as Urbosa’s Fury.
A Flurry Rush can be used to quickly break up a Lynel’s defenses. You should not be surprised when a Lynel tries to ram you, as it will often retaliate with an enraged attack. It is important to get good at shield-countering, as it can help you to stop a lynel from charging you.
The best time to mount an attack on a Lynel is after a counterattack. Trying to charge a Lynel can be a recipe for disaster, and you can do a lot of damage if you are able to whack it a couple of times.
Another strategy is to keep the lynel at a distance. If you are able to stay in front of the lynel, it will not be able to get close.
