The Wind Waker Items

The Wind Waker featured a massive collection of items and weaponry, alot of which you may never have found throughout your adventure. This guide will help you find each item, and inform you of its actions or what its used for.

Bait Bag

  • Found - Beetle Shops
  • About - This bag will hold a number of baits. You can buy more bait, and call the fish from the sea, or feed it to animals.

Bombs

  • Found - Pirate Ship
  • About - Bombs can destroy rocks and enemies. You'll have to return to the pirate ship and sneak into the building nearby. Exit and head back to the ship. Complete the rope challenge there to claim your prize. 

Boomerang

  • Found - Forbidden Woods
  • About - The boomerang is found in the Forest Dungeon. It can retrieve items from a distance, and can target 5 objects at once.

Bottles
There are four bottles to be found across the islands of the Great Sea...

  • Throw the Rito up onto the ledge in Dragon Roost Island and she will give you a bottle.
  • Out in the Great Sea you will cross paths with a submarine. Destroy the creatures inside and claim your treasure.
  • Use Beetle's Chart to find a shop at sea. One will have a bottle you can buy.
  • Once you free the girls from the Foresaken Fortress, follow one from a distance so she doesnt spot you. When she inputs a conbination, talk to her.

Deku Leaf

  • Found - Forest Haven
  • About - This item will allow you to float to safety, acting as a parachute. It can also be used on foot to create strong gusts of wind. You receive this after defeating the chu-cgu's at the Deku Tree, and climbing to where he drops it.

Delivery Bag

  • Found - Dragon Roost Island
  • About - Once you speak with Quill, you will be given this. With it, you can store letters and other snippets to drop off later.

Fire and Ice Arrows

  • Found - Great Fairy
  • About - Once you've learned the Ballard of Gales, warp to the northwestern point. You'll end up right where you need to be.

Grappling Hook

  • Found - Dragon Roost Island
  • About - You will find this inside the dungeon at Dragon Roost Island. It will allow you to hook around branches and other targets to swing across obstacles and pits.

Hero's Bow

  • Found - Tower of the Gods
  • About - Once obtained, you can hit eye switches to open other passages. It is great for long distance enemies.

Hookshot

  • Found - Wind Temple
  • About - This item will allow you to target certain spots and pull yourself to it. You can also kill enemies with it.

Iron Boots

  • Found - Ice Ring Isle
  • About - These boots will allow Link to stand freely in fierce winds. You will get these, find the Dragon Head with ice coming from its mouth, and shoot a fire arrow into it.

Light Arrow

  • Found - Ganon's Tower
  • About - These arrows will allow you to give Phantom and Ganon their last breathe.

Magic Armor

  • Found - Windfall Island
  • About - You will have to complete a trading sequence, the head over to Zunari's Stand. It will cause a protective barrier around Link. It will drain your magic as long as its casted.

Pictobox

  • Found - Windfall Island
  • About - Once you free Tingle, you can follow a secret path. Make sure, once you round a corner, that there is no wooden board, or a mouse will pull a rope and drop you from the passage. The pictobox will allow you to take pictures of anything, and will allow you to store 3 of them. There are a few paths to take to the box, heres one... From start, make first right, then first left. Head to the end and make a right. Make a left, another left, and then right. Make a right, follow it to the end, and make another right to the room.

Sail

  • Found - Windfall Island
  • About - Once you buy this from the Eskimo, you will be able to sail on the King of Red Lions aka Your Boat.

Skull Hammer

  • Found - Forsaken Fortress
  • About - On your second visit, you will come across this. Defeat Phantom Ganon and claim it as your prize. It can smash certain switches and items

Spoils Bag

  • Found - Pirate Ship
  • About - This bag will hold special items that are left behind. You have to get through the ship by jumping from rope to rope in a certain amount of time.

Telescope

  • Found - Outset Island
  • About - The telescope will allow you to view the world from first person view. You can zoom in and out for better scouting. A good item to have once at sea.

Tingle Tuner

  • Found - Windfall Island
  • About - Once obtained by freeing Tingle from jail, you can hook your Gameboy Advance up to the game. The GBA will show a map, and you can pay Tingle to do certain tasks for you.

Wind Waker

  • Found - Dragon Roost Island
  • About - The Wind Waker is a magical baton used for controlling the winds. When you pull it out, you can conduct in 3/4, 4/4, or 6/4 time. It is similar to the Ocarina, but very different at the same time.
