The Minish Cap Heart Pieces

Heart Piece # 1
Location : Minish Woods
Items Required : None
The first heart piece you will obtain is in front of the Deepwood Shrine entrance.

Heart Piece # 2
Location : Minish Village
Items Required : None
The second heart piece can be found at the end of a dock in the northeast corner of the village.

Heart Piece # 3
Location : Deepwood Shrine
Items Required : Obtained Gust Jar
After you defeat the madderpillar and claim the Gust Jar, use the Gust Jar to suck the webbing off the southern door.

Heart Piece # 4
Location : Deepwood Shrine
Items Required : Obtained Gust Jar
In the north central room of B1 in Deepwood Shrine, use the Gust Jar to disperse the yellow patches. A floor switch will be uncovered. Step on it to make a blue portal appear at the beginning of the dungeon, which will take you to a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 5
Location : Mount Crenel
Items Required : Bombs
In the southwest corner of the mountain, you will find a path that leads to a dead end. Lay a bomb to open a hole in the wall.

Heart Piece # 6
Location : Mount Crenel
Items Required : Bombs
To the right of the Crenel Wall is a sign post and some rocks. Lay a bomb between the rocks to open a hole in the wall. You will find your heart piece in the middle of a fairy fountain.

Heart Piece # 7
Location : Cave of Flames
Items Required : Bombs
You will eventually reach a room with an overturned minecart. Follow the tracks overtop lava and bomb the southern cracked wall.

Heart Piece # 8
Location : Veil Falls
Items Required : Cane of Pacci
In the northwest corner of Lon Lon Ranch is a hole you can energize with the Cane of Pacci. Follow the path into Veil Falls and down a ladder. Along the shore you will find a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 9
Location : North Hyrule Field
Items Required : Bombs
On the west side of North Hyrule Field, you will find a cracked rock near a sign for Royal Valley. Bomb the rock and take the ladder down and enter the cave.

Heart Piece # 10
Location : Hyrule Town
Items Required : Cane of Pacci
Use the Cane of Pacci to flip the jar inside the house east of the Item shop and shrink down to Minish size. Head over to the Inn by climbing a vine and enter through the back.

Heart Piece # 11
Location : Minish Woods
Items Required : Cane of Pacci
When you are venturing to see Syrup for the Wake up Mushroom, head southwest to find this heart piece.

Heart Piece # 12
Location : Mount Crenel
Items Required : White Sword
After you infuse the White Sword with the Earth and Fire elements, Grayblade's dojo will be open on the east end of the mountain. From the base of the mountain, climb up four walls on the east side, and enter into the cave.

Heart Piece # 13
Location : Hyrule Castle Garden
Items Required : None
The only prerequisite here is that the guards must leave the east side of the castle gardens. Head over to the thick patch of bushes and cut them away to reveal a ladder. Climb down and take the heart here in Grimblade's dojo.

Heart Piece # 14
Location : Lon Lon Ranch
Items Required : Pegasus Boots & Dash Attack
North of Talon's house is a tree you can ram to reveal a Minish Portal. Shrink down to Minish size and enter into the small path. At the end is your heart piece.

Heart Piece # 15
Location : Castor Wilds
Items Required : Pegasus Boots
In the southwest corner of Castor Wilds, you will find a shrine which you can push to reveal a secret entrance. Follow it down and you will arrive in another dojo. Grab the heart piece and return here after obtaining all other Tiger Scrolls.

Heart Piece # 16
Location : Wind Ruins
Items Required : Pegasus Boots
When you reach the two Rope, use the nearby portal to shrink down to Minish size. Head west to climb down some small vines. You will reach a set of three vines, so take the middle vine down to enter a small cave.

Heart Piece # 17
Location : Fortress of Winds
Items Required : Pegasus Boots
In the far eastern room on the first floor, you can claim another heart piece. You will have to reach it by entering the room from the small opening between the barrier in Minish size.

Heart Piece # 18
Location : Mount Crenel
Items Required : Mole Mitts
Climb the Crenel Wall up to the Hermit's cave. Nearby is a wall you can dig through. Defeat the Moldorm inside and claim your heart piece.

Heart Piece # 19
Location : Hyrule Town
Items Required : 10 Rupees
You will need to have beaten the Fortress of Winds in order to get this heart piece. After doing so, Simon's Simulations will open for business in Hyrule Town. The game costs 10 rupees to play and you must defeat all the enemies without dying.

Heart Piece # 20
Location : Hyrule Town
Items Required : Flippers / Roc's Cape
You will need either the Flippers or the Roc's Cape to obtain this heart piece, depending on your version of the game (see further below). Use a bottle of water to extinguish the fire on Dr. Left's home and enter the fireplace as Minish sized Link. Walk across the plank and enter into the yellow house. Exit from the back and head over to the area east with the cats. Make your way past them and down to the fountain, where you can enter a small hole. Inside you will notice a heart surrounded by pots. In the American version of the game, you can swim over to the heart piece using the shallow waters on the south side. In the European version, the shallows don't exist so you will need to use the Roc's Cape. Note, I am not certain this is a difference between American and European versions, but this is but one of many differences between the rom and my US version of the game.

Heart Piece # 21
Location : Veil Falls
Items Required : Flippers
Take the path into Veil Falls from North Hyrule and swim over to this heart piece.

Heart Piece # 22
Location : Lake Hylia
Items Required : Flippers
At the far north end of Lake Hylia you will find a house will a small pool to the left of it. Stand in the center and dive down into the water to retrieve a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 23
Location : Lake Hylia
Items Required : Flippers
On your trip to Mayor Hagen's cabin you will find a heart piece nearby on a small patch of land.

Heart Piece # 24
Location : Lake Hylia
Items Required : Flippers
Near Mayor Hagen's you will find Waveblade's dojo (tree with a hole in it). Inside you will find a heart piece and a new Tiger Scroll.

Heart Piece # 25
Location : Minish Woods
Items Required : Flippers
In the western portion of Minish Woods, you will come upon a dead end with three small holes in the wall. Shrink down to Minish size and take the far west hole. Follow the icy path to a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 26
Location : Castor Wilds
Items Required : Flippers
In the northeast corner of Castor Wilds next to a waterfall is a cave containing a small block puzzle and a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 27
Location : Castor Wilds
Items Required : Flippers
A random Kinstone fusion will cause a lily pad to appear in the northwest corner near a thick patch of muck. Ride the lily pad over to a cave. Inside you must fight through ome enemies and move blocks to reach your heart piece.

Heart Piece # 28
Location : South Hyrule Field
Items Required : Flippers
In the very southwest corner of South Hyrule field you will find a tree glimmering that you can dash into to create a Minish portal. Shrink down to Minish size and jump into the water. Swim upstream and you will eventually find a cave to enter from the water.

Heart Piece # 29
Location : Hyrule Town
Items Required : None
Note, it really helps to have the Flippers and Pegasus Boots for this heart piece. In the southeast corner of Hyrule Town, you will find Anju who will ask you to bring back her missing Cucco within a certain time frame (note that European version doesn't give you much time, unlike the US version).

Heart Piece # 30
Location : Royal Valley
Items Required : Flame Lantern
Once you reach the graveyard, head to the northwest side and push the far top left grave. Use the blocks inside to split into three and push the block.

Heart Piece # 31
Location : Palace of Winds
Items Required : Roc's Cape
Look for a large U shaped room on the 4th floor. Push the blocks to the left off the ledge and head north across the catwalk.

Heart Piece # 32
Location : Hyrule Town
Items Required : Roc's Cape
At the north side of the town near Malon is a large bell. Equip the Roc's Cape and jump into the bell to force a heart piece to drop from it.

Heart Piece # 33
Location : Lake Hylia
Items Required : Roc's Cape
Head to the northern cabin that has the small pool next to it we got a heart piece from earlier. Head east across these and you will leap to a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 34
Location : Lon Lon Ranch
Items Required : Roc's Cape
From the last heart piece (# 33), head north hopping across the small islands. You will reach a cave entrance you can dig through with the Mole Mitts, which will put you out in Lon Lon Ranch near a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 35
Location : Hyrule Town
Items Required : Collected All Figurines
Once you've completed the tedious task of collecting all 130 figurines, talk to the man outside of the cafe. Head will let you into his house which contains a heart piece and a few other surprizes.

Heart Piece # 36
Location : Hyrule Town
Items Required : Four Sword
Enter the school house and shrink down to Minish size. Enter the tiny path inside the playground. At the end of the path, use the Four Sword to split into four and move the large block.

The following heart pieces are obtainable from Kinstone fusions, which add a certain degree of diffeculty to the game for those that must get 100% of their quest completed.

Heart Location : South Hyrule Field
Who to Fuse With : Hurdy Gurdy Man
When you fuse Kinstone's for the first time with the Hurdy Gurdy man, the bramble on the tree near Link's house is removed.

Heart Piece # 38
Heart Location : Eastern Hills
Who to Fuse With : Forest Minish
In the southwest corner of the Eastern Hills, you will find a portal to shrink down to Minish size. Enter the mushroom house and fuse Kinstones with the Minish inside. This will cause a beanstalk to sprout just to the north of you.

Heart Piece # 39
Heart Location : Western Wood
Who to Fuse With : Forest Minish
Warp to the Wind Crest at Lake Hylia and use the nearby portal to shrink down to Minish size. Head into the mushroom house to the north and fuse Kinstones with the Forest Minish inside. This will allow you to enter the tree next to the Castor Wilds sign in Western Wood.

Heart Piece # 40
Heart Location : Mount Crenel
Who to Fuse With : Melari
In order to obtain this heart piece, you will need to have beaten the Fortress of Winds. Fuse Kinstones with Melari and it will cause a beanstalk to grow in the far northwestern corner of the mountain.

Heart Piece # 41
Heart Location : Lake Hylia
Who to Fuse With : Forest Minish
Head over to Mayor Hagen's cabin and use the nearby portal to shrink down to Minish size. Head north and you will reach a vine to the right, which leads up to a Forest Minish house (it's a hole in the ground). Fuse Kinstones with the Minish inside to make a beanstalk grow. Return to normal size and head north to a cave which you can dig through. Find the ladder inside which will take you to your beanstalk.

Heart Piece # 42
Heart Location : Veil Falls
Who to Fuse With : Gale
Find Gale, either stranded on the cloud tops (or if you're passed this part) in the Tower of Winds. Fuse kinstones with her and it will uncover a secret cave behind Veil Falls.

Heart Piece # 43
Heart Location : Veil Falls
Who to Fuse With : Forest Minish
To get this heart piece, you will need the Four Sword. Head over to Minish Woods and to the northeast dock where we obtained Heart Piece # 2 from. Swim across the water here to a house. Fuse kinstones with the Forest Minish inside. The second fusion with this Forest Minish will cause a patch of land to appear on the water infront of a cave at Veil Falls. Note, make sure to fuse Kinstones with this Forest Minish for a third time, it is need for # 45!

Heart Piece # 44
Heart Location : Hyrule Castle Garden Who to Fuse With : Random A random Red Kinstone fusion will cause the fountain to drain, leaving behind a heart piece.

Heart Piece # 45
Heart Location : Lake Hylia
Who to Fuse With : Forest Minish
This isn't a heart piece, this is an entire heart container! If you fused Kinstones for a third time with the Forest Minish as mentioned in # 43, warp to Lake Hylia. Drop through the hole that was created with the third fusion with the Forest Minish and head through the cavern. The cavern will put you out next to a Forest Minish house. Head in and talk to the Minish inside, who will be so impressed he will give you an entire heart container!
