Donations and Site Support
Since Zelda Legacy is a fansite, all site related expenses are paid for out of pocket by me. I keep Zelda Legacy on a trusted and reliable host on a hosting plan that gives us plenty of bandwidth, webspace, and resources. This will ensure your downloads are served to you fast, and that the site is online and loads fast for your browsing pleasure.
There are usually not many additional fees, except for our commercial forum software, Vbulletin, and at times, third party extentions for our Content Management System. We choose to use commercial software because of it's reliability and closed source, which keeps the threat of hacking and attacks low.
If you frequent the site, enjoy it's features and overall are a part of our community and wish to help out with anything, feel free to donate towards supporting the site. There are several different ways to donate - you can donate money, donate new information and material, and many other options.
Hosting Gift Cards
Our host (GoDaddy.com) has a great feature of allowing people to send gift cards, which can be used towards the purchase of any service they offer. If you would like to donate and be assured it is going towards hosting costs, please use this method. They accept Paypal and many other payment methods and are very trust worthy.
Paypal Donations
If you want to help support the recurring cost of our Vbulletin liscense, hosting costs, and other general website costs (new material like strategy guide scans, or other costs like addons to our Content Management System) we have a Verified Premium Paypal account which you can send payments to.
Other Donations
If you don't have extra money to donate but still want to contribute, there are many other things you ca do to help out. If you have any Legend of Zelda materials (books, guides, etc) that you are willing to scan, scan them and send them in. We give everyone who contributes anything to use full credit for their work.
As well, you can contribute any guides you have personally written or fan fictions, fan art, and anything else related to the Legend of Zelda. All you have to do is email us!
