Phantom Hourglass Bosses

Due to the nature of Phantom Hourglass and the Nintendo DS, there were several intuitive strategies to defeating the many bosses of Phantom Hourglass. This guide was contributed by Shrukan, with various edits by Killswitch.

Blaaz Blaaz - Master of Fire

When the battle begins, take out the boomerang and check out the top screen. You will notice that each of Blaaz's smaller forms have horns depicted in their icons. To defeat Blaaz, you must use the boomerang to merge them together, and in order to do this, you must draw a line connecting each one by the number of horns on them - least to highest.

Once you successfully merge them, begin attacking like a wild man with your sword. He will randomly disappear and move around the arena. Continue to follow after and attack him, dodging the molten rock that falls from the ceiling.

Cyclok, Stirrer of Winds

The arena in this battle is open in the outdoors. You will notice whirlwinds appearing around the arena in various locations as well, with bomb flowers around the arena. The objective to attacking Cyclok is to wait until he is near a whirlwind and throw a bomb into it.

Your bombs will explode on contact, knocking him from the sky (whereas bomb flowers are timed). Once you score a direct hit and he falls, run up and begin to attack him. He will eventually return to the air, so repeat the process. Any attack Cyclok makes is easy to avoid, so this should be an easy win.

Crayk Crayk, Bane of Courage

This battle is quite unique. You will notice Crayk disappear at the start of the battle, with no way to see him on the lower or upper screen. Take a closer look at the upper screen and you will see the battle from Crayk's point of view.

Ready the bow get yourself situated at the far end of the arena. If a small Craykling should approach, destroy it with an arrow or your sword. Pay attention to the direction you have Link facing and fire arrows straight at Crayk. A direct hit will cause him to reappear, so take that opportunity to attack him. Eventually, his shell will be destroyed.

Without his shell, he will no longer disappear. Attack it's eye until it covers up and run behind it to attack it tail. Several hits and Crayk will croak.

Cubus Sisters Diabolical Cubus Sisters

This battle is a game of volley, much like the battles with Phantom Ganon in the Wind Waker or Agahnim in A Link to the Past, with a twist. Each sister will fire an attack, with only one of them being an attack you can return. One sister will fire an energy ball, while the others fire lasers and move around the room. Dodge the lasers and return the energy ball.

Once one sister is defeated, they will attack again, with only one sister firing the returnable attack. Return her energy attack and she will deflect it towards one of her sisters, which will deflect it toward you. Return it again to score a hit. Do this until another sister drops. Continue this until you reach the last sister.

The last sister will fire multiple attacks, making it slightly harder to return. She will also volley the attack quite a bit more. Stay with it, returning her attacks until she too follows the same path as her other sisters.

Dongorongo Dongorongo, Armored Lizard

This battle will require you to use Gongoron and Link to defeat Dongorongo. When you are controlling Gongoron, roll around the Dongorongo and try to attack his side until he rolls. You will be told now is the time to fire off a Bombchu. Draw a line to direct the Bombchu into Dongorongo's mouth. make sure you switch back to Link when alerted his is being attacked to destroy any enemies close by!

After three Bombchu's, Dongorongo will fall over and a bridge will expand across the quicksand. Gongoron will run ahead and the door will close, leaving you with Dongorongo. He will stand back up pissed off. Avoid his fireball attacks and wait for him to inhale deeply. Toss a bomb into his mouth and he will collapse. Attack the weakspot on his back as much as possible, and he will rise again. Repeat the process and Dongorongo will fail.

gleeok Gleeok, Two-Headed Dragon

You have four poles in the room :

1   2

3   4

When the red head attacks, use the hookshot quickly and connect pole 1 to pole 4 only. Connect pole to pole 3 if the blue head attacks. This will cause their attack to bounce off the rope into the opposing Gleeok head. Continue this process until they sink their heads underwater.

When they sink their heads go under water and make a tidal wave, jump onto a pole and avoid the water, then jump into the water and avoid the icebergs.

When their heads armor comes of, they will suck in some air and burn you with fire. Connect their tongues with the remaining poles to daze them and then strike their heads till they fall.

Eox Eox, Ancient Stone Soldier

Eox will try to smash you with his hands, so keep running around the arena to avoid this. He will also fire arrows from his neck. Use the hammer and strike the objects on the floor to fly into the sky, all the while smashing the red pegs on Eox's body with the hammer. This will slowly break apart Eox's outter shell.

When you expose his wooden frame, continue to whack his weak points till all you have is the head.

Jump onto the head and strike the blue jewel repeatedly to easily defeat him.

Evil Phantom Bellum

In the first part, pull the purple fog stuff of his body with the grappling hook. Then strike his eye.

When he jumps to the floor above, follow him and strike his eyed tentacles with arrows, while dogging. If you run out of arrows, strike the purple gooey monsters that try to attack you. They often have hearts and arrows.

Continue the same process therough the battle until Ciela gets her memories back. When she does, run to the bottom floor and excute a Phantom Hourglass attack by tapping the Phantom Hourglass symbol on the bottom and making the Phantom Hourglass symbol in the box. You must excute it quickly or it will not work.

Bellum Armored Bellum

Excute a Phantom Hourglass symbol but ignore it. You cannot attack yet.

When Ciela gets captured, rush at Bellum and then preform some quick strikes, then an even quicker rub attack, finally ending with a simple strike to free Ciela a bit. She will give you another Phantom Orb to use the Phantom Sword strike, but only activate when Bellums main eye opens. Strike that eye and then run after time is up.

Now preform some attacks again and when Bellum moves to his right or left to evade, quickly strik him, then rub quickly, and quickly hit him again to get another orb.

Continue until defeated, and then you'll have beaten the game.
