Emulators
Here are a few of the better emulators out there. Please, don't download these just to play free games. If you enjoy a game, go buy it. You can find older games all over the place, such as Ebay and Amazon. Nintendo also offers downloads of older games through the Virtual Console.
NES Emulator
Jnes is the best NES emulator I have found. There are others, that are just as good, its just personal preference, and how you use it for performance reasons. JNES is probably the most popular of the NES emulators, however, and there is even a port to use this emulator on a Sony PSP with regular NES roms.
Gameboy / Gameboy Color Emulator
BGB is a great Gameboy / Gameboy color emulator. I have personally never had a problem with it, and usually only use this emulator for my Gameboy needs. It has alot of nice options and plugins, some that will let you add color to otherwise colorless games.
Super Nintendo Emulator
ZSNES is by far my favorite emulator for the SNES. It is exceptional in performance, and runs games smoothly, with many extra options for the advanced user. I highly recommend this emulator.
Nintendo 64 Emulator
Project 64 is the only 64 emulator I could get to run ALL my games. It runs very smoothly, and you can find tons of upgrades and plugins for it. Another emulator I highly recommend. It is also the only emulator I know of that will support the Ocarina of Time hidefinition and celshade plugins.
Gameboy Advance Emulator
Visual Boy Advance is the one and only emulator I have ever used for Game Boy Advance games. It is an outstanding emulator, and like the above, highly recommended. This is also the most popular choice for emulating Gameboy Advance games.
